Overview

What role should L&D play in an environment where AI is already part of work, information and capability?

This report, our fifth in this series, builds on a three-year programme of research into the impact of artificial intelligence on organisational learning, work and performance.

We conducted detailed interviews with senior L&D leaders across some 20 organisations, ranging from 500 to 130,000 employees, resulting in this 35-page report that explores three potential directions for L&D outlined in the Transformation Triangle framework:

  • Skills Authority: L&D organised around treating skills as a critical business assets

  • Enablement Partner: L&D organised around the expertise already embedded or emerging in the workforce

  • Adaptation Engine: L&D organised around performance as a systems problem
